In case you are wondering, the “Ditchwitch” parked on the lawn outside the north door has bored and installed cable from there to the parking lot where the 70 kwh solar panels/parking cover will be installed. Today they are boring to install cable from the north lawn to the electrical meters behind the kitchen.
All of this is being done with no interruption of traffic and without cutting into our drive. The Ditchwitch being used is capable of boring about 180 feet before surfacing. A larger unit—that will not be needed for this job—is capable of boring about 1,500 feet.
Next will come the digging of holes and pouring concrete for the base of the parking lot solar panel structure.
